FAQ

Q: How do I schedule an appointment?

A: Visit the 'new clients' tab in the drop down menu and complete the pre-screening questionnaire. If we have availability to groom your pup, you will be contacted by phone call or text at the phone number you provide.

Q: What vaccinations do you require?

A: We require your dog to be up-to-date on flea preventative, annual bordetella vaccination, and rabies vaccination.

Q: Do I have to bring vet records?

A: No. At your first visit, you will fill out a grooming wavier. By signing the wavier you are ensuring that your dog is up-to-date on the vaccinations and preventatives that we require. You will also provide your vet's information, which allows us to call to verify, if needed.

Q: How long will the groom take?

A: Every dog is different. For first visits we typically like to keep dogs for at least 4-6 hours. This allows us time to develop a relationship with your dog, take breaks as needed, and have playtime to foster a happy and trusting environment.

Q: When will I pick up my dog?

A: We will talk with you about your schedule to determine the best time for you to come back for your dog, or for us to deliver your dog to you. We can set a pickup time when you drop your pup off at the salon, or if your day has flexibility, we can text you 30-60 minutes before your pup is ready for pickup. We typically start sending pups home around lunchtime; last pickup is 4 p.m.

Q: How do I pay?

A: You can pay by cash, check, Venmo, credit card, or invoice. There is a $2 processing fee for swiped credit cards or a $3 processing fee for emailed invoices. If you are picking up your dog at the salon or you are greeting us when we drop off your dog at home, you can pay at that time. If we are taking your dog home and you will not be present, we can send you an email invoice payable online by credit card, or you can leave a blank check (we will let you know the total before writing it in).

Q: How much will the groom cost?

A: Please see our extensive pricing guide to help estimate the cost of the groom. Final price is determined by the condition of the coat and the behavior of the dog. Additional cost that are incurred are for dematting ($1/minute), unexpected aggressive behavior, or flea/tick removal. All pups with flea or ticks are required to have delousing bath ($20), will be treated with a monthly topical preventative ($10), and owner is responsible for a $25 flea bombing and cleaning fee.

Q: What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

A: Call, text, or email us. We require 24 hours notice per dog to reschedule or cancel appointments. This allows us the opportunity to avoid financial loss by bringing existing appointments forward. There is a fee of 50% of the cost of the groom for appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice. If you fail to arrive for your appointment, you will be responsible for paying the full grooming price.

Q: What if I'm running late to my appointment or my pick up time?

A: Text us. We often have other appointments lined up behind yours, or we are working with another dog. If you let us know you're running late, we can go back to grooming to make sure all the dogs in our care are finished in a timely and safe manner. We will charge a fair late fee for tardiness without notification.
